About the Founder – Lirim Muharemi

Lirim Muharemi is an entrepreneur and strategic developer with nearly two decades of leadership in high-impact infrastructure, logistics and energy initiatives across Southeast Europe and the European Union. His work bridges visionary project design with practical execution, delivering solutions that align with Europe’s long-term geopolitical, economic and environmental objectives. He is the conceptual author, founder, lead architect and sole owner of Europort Shengjin – Eagle of the Adriatic, a multi-billion–euro maritime infrastructure project designed to position Albania as a strategic logistics and energy hub for the Western Balkans and the wider European region. The project has been recognised by World Finance 100, the Government of Albania, the Albanian Chamber of Commerce and international industry reports, and has attracted sustained interest from strategic partners worldwide. His portfolio extends beyond maritime infrastructure to renewable energy (1000 MW wind power projects), industrial production and socio-economic development through the Lightbringer Foundation. Over the years, he has built long-term partnerships with EU institutions, national governments, investment funds and multinational corporations. Lirim has repeatedly served as co-organiser and co-founder of high-level economic and political congresses in Brussels under the auspices of Friends of Europe, including State of Europe – New Action Plan and Western Balkans conferences. In 2014, he was a co-signer of the Foreword to the State of Europe – New Action Plan for Europe report, contributing to a roadmap calling on Europe’s leaders to promote growth, tackle unemployment, boost competitiveness, embrace sustainability and strengthen the EU’s global strategic role.
